Triumph Powered Micro Midget 1

Back in the early 1970's a freind and I raced a Micro Midget at Westmead 1/2 mile Speedway in western Sydney, Australia.
It was powered by a 650 Triumph Splayed head Bonneville. We gave it a compression ratio of 12:1, dialed the cams in with about 70deg overlap, centre plugged the head (10mm spark plugs), drilled the main jets out to .128" and run it on methanol.
We carried out a few more mods to strengthen the whole thing up and we got around 60 plus HP from it.
On the track it run a fraction less than Speedcar times reaching around 90 mph on the back straightaway.
It was a pure addrenalin machine I can assure you.
